Alberto “Beto†Lopez, 67, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on July 24, 1948.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Cipriano and Cleofas Lopez, son; Francisco Lopez and son-in-law; Jesus Angel Solis.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Irma Lopez, children; Gilberto (Maria del Carmen), Martha (Joseph) Durso, Hector Daniel (Esmeralda) Delgado, Diana (Luis) Gutierrez, and Alberto Lopez Jr. Also surviving numerous grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Alberto will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving, hard-working man. His passions included carpentry, helping others, cooking, playing his bass, and conjunto music.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 and Friday, March 18, 2016 from 1-9 p.m. the recitation of the holy rosary will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 7 p.m. There will be a funeral mass held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. at San Eugenio de Mazenod Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
