LOS FRESNOS – Eustacia Huerta entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old.
She was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas on March 29, 1926 to Rosalio Huerta and Cipriana Huerta. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She touched the lives of all who knew her and brought smiles and much laughter to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Maria D. Ruiz and sons Carlos (Roberta) Jurado, and Marco Antonio (Lupita) Huerta. She is also survived by grandchildren David Ruiz, Amador Ruiz III, Rodolfo Ruiz, Veronica Ruiz, Carlos Jurado Jr., Robert Jurado, Bianca Huerta, Michael Huerta, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents Rosalio and Cipriana Huerta, brothers Catarino Huerta, Remigio Huerta, Nicolas Huerta and sisters Antonio Huerta, Guadalupe Huerta, Concepcion H. Martinez, and Rosa H. Mendoza.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Brownsville, TX. Holy Rosary will be on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be David Ruiz, Amador Ruiz III, Rodolfo Ruiz, David Ruiz Jr., Daniel Ruiz, Brandon Camacho, Michael Huerta, and Victor Lopez.
