Luis Sergio Segoviano

Luis Sergio Segoviano, 48, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2023 at MD Anderson Cancer Center-Houston surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on May 10, 1974.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Luis Segoviano and Obdulia Aldape; maternal grandparents Angel Vargas and Dolores Gallegos.

Left to cherish his memory is his parents Sergio Segoviano and Susana Segoviano; wife Francis Segoviano; children Arlette Segoviano, Luis Segoviano Jr., Edgar Castañeda, and Edel Castañeda; siblings Karla Segoviano, Alejandro Segoviano, and Hugo Segoviano.

Luis was a warrior, overcoming a rare cancer in which no cure was available at that time. He went through a difficult fight together with family but was able to enjoy 20+ years cancer free. During these 20+ years he met his wife Francis and traveled together all over the world, enjoying and always with a smile on his face that defined who he really is, a happy human being. He was a fine contractor and businessman during these 20+ years in which many around him have nothing but great words towards him. A spiritual, religious and down to earth person who was always worried for others, a great husband, father, son, sibling, and godfather who will never be forgotten and forever live in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 10AM to 10PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 9AM with a chapel service at 11AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at 1PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
