Nora C. Salazar

Nora C. Salazar, 57, of Olmito, Texas, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 8, 1965.

She is preceded in death by her parents Florencio Cortez and Anita Cortez; her brother Arnulfo Cortez; sister-in-law Kathy Cortez.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 24 years Santos Salazar; children Davina (Daniel) Lucio, Mireya Salazar and her partner Brianna; siblings Leticia (Mark) Bailey, Joel (Sara) Cortez, Isfrain (Margarita) Cortez, and Heriberto Cortez; two grandchildren Leah Lucio and Liam Lucio. Also surviving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 1PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with funeral mass to follow at 12PM at Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church in Olmito, Texas. Interment to follow at 1PM at San Vicente Cemetery in Rio Hondo, Texas. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485
