Cruz Maria Perez

Cruz Maria Perez, 87, of Brownsville, Texas devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rio Hondo, Texas on August 24, 1934.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eziquiel Perez; parents Ignacio Herrera and Margarita Narvaiz; children Juan Manriquez, Noemi Rivera, and Andrea Gallegos; grandchildren Melva Perez, Raul Rivera, and Jesus Escalante.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Juana Santana, Ma. Margarita Garcia, Rosario Perez, Sofia Ventura, Eziquiel Perez Jr., and Maria Luisa Perez; and abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 1 PM to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10 AM at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church with burial to follow at 11 AM at Las Palmas Cemetery in Brownsville.
