Abraham “AB” Jimenez

Abraham “AB†Jimenez, 38, of Brownville, TX, was called home by Our Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his father Miguel Jimenez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nelly V. Jimenez; children, Abigail Jimenez, Camila Jimenez, and Keila Jimenez; mother, Rosa Jimenez; brother, Michael Jimenez; sister, Deborah Jimenez; mother-in-law, Nelly Macias; father-in-law, Luis Macias; one sister-in-law, Pilar Macias and his two brothers-in-law, Luis and Jesus Macias.

“AB†was a lovely, devoted and exemplary husband, father, son, brother, educator and friend. He attended UTB and received his bachelor’s degree in Biology back in 2006. A brilliant teacher, “AB†served the community as a Teacher for BISD for over 10 years. He later pursued a master’s degree at UTB and with hard work and effort, he received his Master’s Degree in 2014. “AB†had a humble and talented heart that was always willing to help others. He served the Lord playing the bass guitar for many years in different ministries in Brownsville. “AB†loved children and served in the children’s ministry at church volunteering to brighten the children’s day and putting a smile on their faces. He had a kind, positive, joyous spirit. A heart that was always ready to serve others. He will be remembered as an excellent human being.  

The perfect dad and husband. Without a doubt, God only takes the best.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1 PM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening. Services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485
