Antonio P. Medina Jr.

Antonio P. Medina Jr., 81, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted father, grandfather, brother, great-grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2021, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Villa Nueva on February 11, 1940, to Antonio Medina and Maria del Refugio P. Medina

He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio Medina and Maria del Refugio P. Medina, his first wife Wynema Medina, second wife Marta Cisneros; and his son Elario Medina.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Nancy Medina, Tonia Medina; sons Rolando Cisneros and Antonio Medina III; siblings maria Luisa, Carolina, Elvira, Angelica, Wolfe, and Gualberto Medina; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Antonio will be remembered as a family man, widowed 2x over. He raised his children into adults. He was a man of “actionâ€, he demanded it, working to his very last days, selling and trading acquired goods. Always surrounded by friends and family, like a moth to flame, he attracted company. Always the first to strike a conversation with a stranger nearby. Making those new friends feel like old friends and go deep in conversation about the news, weather, or a life event. You are unforgettable and will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. On Friday, June 11, 2021, chapel opens at 12 noon with funeral mass to follow at 2 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with burial to follow at 3 PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville. (956) 350-8485

    To The Medina Family- We send our most sincerest condolences and are keeping you all in our prayers. Our cousin Mingo was a good man who welcomed everyone. We will miss him dearly. Rest In Peace Primo and one day we will all be together again, God willing.
