Carlos Atkinson Jr.

Carlos Atkinson Jr. entered into the kingdom of heaven at 5:31 am on May 10, 2021. He was surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his parents, Carlos and Mary Frances Atkinson, siblings, Ricardo Atkinson, Sandra Powers (Otis), David Atkinson, Mary Tolman, Charlie Atkinson (Camille), Sylvia Atkinson, and Christie McManus (Alex). Extended family (Sherry) and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ricky, and Cathy Atkinson.

Carlos will remain the rock of his family and will be remembered for being a testament to the strong bond and love his parents and family share. Although disabled from birth, Carlos was always full of life and love for his family. He will be sorely missed.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the wonderful staff and nurses at Brownsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and the Valley Baptist Hospital for their excellent care and support for Carlos Jr. over the years. You all are truly angels on earth.

Mass intentions were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, May 15, 2021. 
A private burial service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. 
Mrs. Cano, 956.541.1542, will be handling any deliveries for the family.

    Love you big bro!!! Thanks for keeping me humbled and down to earth. I raised my kids knowing of your love and sacrifices with the will you never give up. They are great kids because of the example and conviction you set on this earth.

    Carlos was a true testament of an angel on earth. Our deepest condolences to Carlos Sr. and Mary, the best parents Carlos could have ever had. We are so sorry for your loss.
