Maria De Los Angeles Garcia of Brownsville, Texas, devoted wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother, entered into eternal rest April 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on September 25, 1953. She is preceded in death by her mother Juanita Hernandez Obregon.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Jose Garcia, her four children Mary (Joe) Martinez, Jose A. Garcia, Yvette (Christian) Pineda, Jasmin (Jose) Bahena and numerous grandchildren.
She graduated with her Cosmetology license from Tamaulipas when she was only 15 years old and practiced her profession for many years thereafter. She continued her studies in Brownsville.
and in 1988 graduated from Vogue College of Cosmetology and went on to own her own beauty salon for over 20 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 20, 2021 from 1 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel will reopen on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at 12:00 noon with burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
