Gloria Magdalena Medina Gonzales, 88, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2021 at her residence in Los Fresnos, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on September 9, 1932.
She is preceded in death by her husband Romulo Gonzales; siblings Arnoldo Medina and Rosalinda Medina; parents Maria Flores Medina and Jose Angel Medina.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister Nereida (Jim) Goans; children Elsa Gonzales, Hector (Maria) Gonzales, Lydia (Javier) Sierra, Mark (Alice) Gonzales, and Sergio Gonzales; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was an educator for 22 years at Garden Park Elementary in the Brownsville Independent School District. She was a devout Christian and attended and served at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 1 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
