Sandra Elisa Nevarez-Hernandez

Sandra Elisa Nevarez-Hernandez, 50, of Brownsville, Texas devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Abelino Hernadez, 3 sons Elusai, Elian, Eniel Hernandez, parents Julio & Ana Maria Nevarez, 2 brothers Julio & Carlos Nevarez and 4 sisters Chary, Silvia, Ana, & Sonia Nevarez,  and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

Sandra accepted Christ as her savior and was an avid member of Brownsville Community Fellowship Church, cherished praising the Lord. She loved reading the Bible and praying for and with others. Sandra lived a life full of faith in God. She trusted Him and his promises. Even though she battled cancer, she lived to fulfill her devotion to God.

John 11:25–26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.

She will be remembered by her joyful spirit and her devotion to God.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10 AM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10 AM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.

Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville. (956) 350-8485

In lieu of flowers, family will be accepting monetary donations.

    I will always remember what a vibrant, beautiful n God fearing woman Sandra was. All of us were blessed to have her in our lives. She never wavered in her faith in her Lord and her love of family. May she rest in peace and keep watch over us all. I am so sorry that I won’t be able to be there physically with you all, but I will be in spirit. Hugs to each of you.

    My condolences to all of her family! Sandra was a beautiful person, her smile brighten any dull day! I will cherish all the fun times- along with her sister Sonia we shared wonderful moments. My prayers and thoughts to all in this difficult time. I will forever miss you my beautiful friend!
