Josefina Beatriz “Betty” Garza

Josefina Beatriz “Betty†Garza, 55, of Brownsville, TX, Beautiful Grandmother, Mother, Wife, Daughter and Friend, entered into eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on October 27, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, TX on March 25, 1965.

She is preceded in death by her father Jose Aladin Molina, mother-in-law Maria de Socorro Garza, her brother-in-laws Moises Medina, Joe Garza, Thomas Garza, Jesus Jaime Garza, George Garza, and her nephew Roberto (Bobby) Molina and Roberto (Robby) Garza Jr.

Betty was a God-fearing woman and had a fun-loving spirit. She was generous, kind, and compassionate. She enjoyed fishing and the beach with her family. She loved family gatherings, playing Texas hold’em, loteria, watching the Dallas Cowboy games, traveling, and shopping. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others at her home. Known for her beautiful heart and her endless love for her family and friends, she will forever leave her smile with us.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Noel S. Garza, children Noel G. Garza and Thomas Vanscooter, William D. Garza and Adriana Garza, Jennifer N. Garza and Galvin Guerrero, and her grandson Liam D. Garza.

Also left to cherish her memory is her mother Josefina Molina, sisters, brother, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; Martha and Gil Gonzalez, Graciela Medina, Francis Molina, Jesus (Lino) and Letty Molina, Deborah Molina, Melissa and Alfredo Venegas, Richard Garza, Rebecca Garza, Gloria and Nicolas Gonzalez, Robert and Norma Garza, Sabas and Silvia Garza III, Juan Noe and Cynthia Garza, Mary Garza Hinojosa, Susana Galvan, Jose Guadalupe Garza and many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, and many friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2020, from 2:00PM-7:00 PM with the Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.

A mass will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 10:00 AM at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers:

Tomas Garza, Gil Gonzalez, David Molina, Eduardo Izaguirre, Jesus “Blue†Molina, and Moises Medina.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 657 Springmart Blvd. (956) 350-8485.
