Ramon G. Camacho

Ramon G. Camacho

Ramon G. Camacho, 77, of Port Isabel, Texas, devoted husband, loving father, Capitan, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on August 25, 2020 at Solara Hospital-Harlingen surrounded by his loving family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Francisca Camacho; daughters, Teresa (Richard) Segovia, Lucia (Abelardo) Cisneros, Maria Alicia Camacho; sons, Nicolas Camacho, Ramon (Pamela) Camacho Jr.;  ten grandchildren, Abraham, Jesse, Joshua, Sarah, Natalie, Abigail, Liliana, Michael Mathew, Ruby, and Xavier; three great-grandchildren, Manuel, Ellie, and James Andrew; siblings Roberto, Leo, Juan Manuel, Rolando, Sammy Lee, Reynaldo, Amelia, Paula, and Palmira.

Mr. Camacho enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Talking to his grandchildren and sharing his never-ending stories and experiences out in the sea as a shrimper during his younger years. Ramon never met a stranger, as he enjoyed and loved taking his daily walks to the causeway, always finding someone to talk to or share good conversations or advise about the fisherman life. He was a risk taker out at sea and his advice was always welcomed by younger fisherman. Nothing could stand between Mr. Camacho and a broken net, furniture, or thing, as brought things back to life, fixed old nets or restored an old chair with his tender love and care. We will deeply miss and love “El Capitanâ€. The light of his memory will forever shine in our hearts.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 10 AM to 2 PM with a memorial service at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end at 2:00 p.m.

Bendiciones.
