Dr. Amar Bagepalli passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18 in Brownsville, Texas.
Dr. Bagepalli is survived by his wife (Sudha), son (Anirudh), daughter (Nisha) and brother (Ajay). The family respected his wishes to not hold an extended funeral service and instead held a respectful private cremation.
Dr. Bagepalli was 65. He was beloved and respected by his family, friends, and colleagues for a life defined by humor, compassion, joy of life and deep intelligence.
He enjoyed watching movies, playing his sitar and reading.
A special thank you to the Solara Hospital in Brownsville for their loving care and support. Due to his devotion and service in Africa, the family asks that contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to CARE Tanzania to provide hope, dignity and economic opportunity.

He was the Greatest person I have ever worked for It was a pleasure, and spiritual learning experience being his assistant for many years, It was truly a blessing knowing Amar. My condolences to his family he was an amazing, intelligent, inspiring human being. You will truly be missed.
