Carlos Eloy Ybarra, 71, of Brownsville, Texas devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2019 at his residence surrounded by loving family.
He was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 1, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents Maria Elena Garza and Carlos Ybarra Contreras. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Esperanza; daughter Lisa A. (Eliseo) Perez, and son Carlos David (Betty) Ybarra; grandchildren Carlos David Ybarra Jr., Brandon Lee Ybarra, Joaquin Eliseo Perez, Xavier Enrique Perez, and Christopher Dylan Ybarra; siblings Patricia (Warren) Brown, Miguel Javier (Irma) Ybarra; also surviving nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends. Carlos enjoyed spending time with family. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and was a long-time employee of Kemet.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 1 to 9 p.m. with military honors at 6:30 p.m. and the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory-Flower Shop.
