Frances Holguin Kiffe, 81, Los Fresnos, TX, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 23, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, TX on February 17, 1935.
She is preceded in death by her Mother: Olivia Olguin, her daughter Tomasina Kiffe, her grandson Donny and her great-grandson Aaron.
Left to cherish her memory is; her children Luis Landin, Wilbert Kiffe, Ronald Kiffe, Helen Kiffe, Susan Gonzalez, Harry Hughey, and Michael Kiff. Frances Holguin Kiffe was a beautiful loving mother of 7, grandmother of 15 and great grandmother (nana) of 11. She was a hard working lady and it was all for her children. She was always the happiest when she was with them. Although she was an only child, in her heart she had many brothers and sisters. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be greatly missed by all who met her and, as I am writing this now, I can hear her say, “tell everyone I love them and I am now in God’s loving handsâ€.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m.

Sad to hear the passing of cousin Frances. I remember meeting her in about 1959 for the first time, when she came to visit our mom, on the San Roman ranch, near Bayview, Texas, when I was 12 years old. Then, I saw her again in the early 1990s in Los Fresnos, Texas. I remember her warm smile and friendly ways; she had not changed. My condolences to her family.
Frances never really had a chance to speak with you very much, seems it was my brother Albert that did most of the talking. On behalf of the Gonzalez Family you will be missed and thank you for everything you did to help my brother Albert and his children. Rest in peace.
I remember Mrs. Kiffe when I was a little boy growing up in the late 60s early 70s in Brownsville on Fronton street near Riverside. She ran a Raspa stand across from Mr. Leick’s store. She had the best Raspas and would always give us extra juice. Very kind lady. My condolences to you Mike and all your family.
Grandma. Thank you for everything you have done for me. For helping me become the woman I am today. For showing me strength and devotion to family. Not a day goes by where I don’t think/talk about you. I miss you so very much and I hope you are enjoying yourself in paradise. Thank you for all of your blessings. I love you!!
